Not a Quitter, just being realistic

I’m bowing out of Nano again. I think I’ve realised that I’m never going to finish, but at least the first couple of weeks have gotten me used to following a schedule for all of my work. I’ve realised that all of the time I set aside for writing I can use for additional studying.

To me Nano has always been more of an organisational exercise than anything else. And it manages to help me achieve that. Especially after a summer of doing little else than reading and working.

Maybe I’ll finish Camp Nano in the summer.

Plots, Plans and Purple Rabbits

I have a plan for NaNoWriMo, although I have no idea as to whether I’ll be using it this year or next, or maybe even the year after.

I’m putting together all of my research and having a go at writing it, but I’m not sure about whether I’m going to manage finish. There’s a lot going on, and with starting to work night shifts I just don’t know where I’m going to find time to sit down and write. Especially with university deadlines just around the corner.

I’ve got plot bunnies attacking from all sides, and for some reason they are purple, and are reminding me of Lavander.

I’ve got the plot sorted, got plans in place, and the method in which I want to tell the tale. Everything just needs a bit more detail and lots of attention.

Roll on November

It’s October again, which means that I am considering NaNoWriMo. For those of you not in the know, that is National Novel Writing Month.

As per usual I’ve entered the bare essentials for a novel and will wait for November to approach to decide more. If I compete this year, I’m not participating to win. Just to use it as an organisational tool.

Talk to you all soon.
